A healthy lifestyle is proven in the Holy Quran and Sunnah

The Qur'an is the central religious text of Islam, and we Muslims believe that it is a revelation from God. It contains teachings and guidance on many aspects of life, including how to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle .

Here are some of the Quranic teachings that can be applied to lead a healthy lifestyle:

1. Eating in moderation: God Almighty says: (Eat and drink, and do not be extravagant. Indeed, He does not love the extravagant.) Al-A’raf, God Almighty does not like exaggeration and extravagance in eating and drinking.

2. Exercise and physical activity: God has the pilgrimage of the core of those who can be able to him, and whoever disbelieves, for God is a richness, and he is the one who is known.

The Sunnah of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and his honorable fragrant biography were full of situations, facts, events and sayings that attest to the status of sport and physical activity in Islam. The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was strong and loved power, and no wonder, for Islam is a religion of strength and victory, in addition to being a law and a constitution of life.

3. Adequate sleep: “It is He who made the night for you to rest and the day for work.” The Almighty said: {It is He who made the night for you to rest in it, and the day to see. Indeed, in that are signs for people who listen}. Sura and verse number: Yunus (67).

So he takes the beginning of religion and members, and the strength is from the sleep and the comfort, and it is a moment from the garden with the wage of the reward, and this is the same,

4. Taking care of physical and psychological health: from what the Almighty said: (..and do not kill yourselves, for God is merciful to you) [An-Nisa: 29]

In the Sunnah, harm is absolutely forbidden. Ibn Majah and Ahmad narrated from the hadith of Ubadah bin Al-Samit that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, decreed that there would be neither harm nor harm. Self-harm is strictly forbidden, especially if it usually results in self-destruction.

5. Maintaining purity: “God loves those who constantly repent and loves those who purify themselves.” The Almighty said that God loves those who repent and loves those who purify themselves (222) and from the Sunnah of the Prophet, on the authority of Abu Malik Al-Ash’ari - may God be pleased with him - that the Messenger of God - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - said: “Purity is half of faith.”

Muslim narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah that he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: ((By the One in Whose hand is my soul, if you did not sin, God would have gone with you, and He would have sought refuge with a people who sin, and they would seek forgiveness from God, and He would forgive them)). (Muslim Hadith: 2749).

The two sheikhs narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in what he tells about his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, who said: ((A servant committed a sin, and he said: O God, forgive me my sin, and He, the Blessed and Most High, said: My servant committed a sin, and he knew that he has a Lord who forgives sin, and punishes for sin. Then he sinned again, then he said: O Lord, forgive me my sin, and He, the Blessed and Exalted, said: My servant committed a sin, and he knew that he has a God who forgives sin and punishes for the sin. sin, then know that he has a God who forgives sin and punishes for sin, do whatever you want, for I have forgiven you)); (Bukhari, Hadith: 7507, Muslim, Hadith: 2758).

Another aspect of a healthy lifestyle according to the Quran is maintaining a positive and uplifting attitude. The Qur’an advises believers to be patient and persevere in the face of challenges, and to return to God Almighty and grant him success.

In general, the Qur'an encourages believers to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle based on faith, gratitude, and a commitment to take care of their physical and spiritual health.
