DIY Recipes for Dry Skin

1.Rose water+ aloe vera+ cucumber = Hydrating mask


Materials required:

. 2-3 tablespoons of aloe vera gel or if you want you can also use aloe vera juice, but aloe vera gel would be a better option.

. 1-2 tablespoons of cucumber juice. You can also use the pulp if you want.

. 1-1/2 tablespoon of rose water or rose gel.


Direction to use:


Mix the ingredients well. If you want you can also use vitamin E oil for extra nourishment. Apply it evenly all over the face and neck. Let it sit for about 15 – 20 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. Spritz some rose water after you wash the face to seal the moisture, soothe the skin and add that rosy glow to the face.


How often to use :

You can use it 2 - 3 times a week depending upon your requirements.

Benefits:

Cucumber water is rich in water content and has a plethora of various minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and, most importantly it contains silica which helps to provide intense hydration and is very soothing to the skin. Cucumber water protects the skin from sunburn, reduces inflammation, and alleviates itching and redness.

Rosewater is rich in various vitamins and phenolics which provide nourishment and hydration. Moreover rose water is a natural astringent and antioxidant which help to effectively cleanse the skin and reverses the sign of aging and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles without drying the skin.

Aloe vera has moisturizing properties and is rich in vitamin E, C, and A. Aloe vera can soothe sunburns, reduce inflammation and puffiness and alleviate dry and itchy skin.


2.Raw honey + yoghurt + vitamin E oil = Nourishing mask


Materials required:

. 3-4 tablespoons of honey.

. 2-3 tablespoons of yogurt or curd.

. 1-1/2 tablespoon of vitamin E oil.

Direction to use:

Combine the ingredients very well. Apply it evenly all over the face and let it sit for 10 – 15 minutes. Wash it with normal water and tone the skin with cold raw milk.

How often to use:

Preferably 1- 2 times a week but you can use it as often as you need or when you feel your skin is dull and dry.

Benefits:


Raw honey cleanses the pore and moisturizes the skin and reduces flakiness and redness.

Yogurt is rich in lactic acid which dissolves the dead skin cells and is an excellent natural exfoliator. Its moisturizing properties leave your skin hydrated, nourished, and supple.

Vitamin E oil protects the skin from U V rays and prevents the damage done by free radicals. It also moisturizes and tones the skin.


3. Milk + honey + sugar = Best exfoliating mask

Ingredients required:

. 4 - 6 tablespoons of raw milk.

. 2-3 tablespoons of honey.

. 2 tablespoons of finely grounded sugar.

Direction to use:

Mix all the ingredients well and apply them evenly all over your face. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes and then scrub your face gently for another 1- 2 minutes. Wash your face with normal water and you are good to go.


How often to use :

Once a week.

Benefits:

Raw milk is rich in lactic acid which removes dirt and dead skin cells. It also unclogs pores and makes the skin soft and supple.


Honey deeply cleanses your pore and reduces redness and inflammation due to its antibacterial properties. It is a natural humectant which means it will provide deep hydration to the skin.

Finely grounded sugar acts as the physical exfoliant. The tiny sugar granules will gently remove the dead skin layers and thereby cleaning the dirt from deep within. Granulated sugar is mild and does not allow toxins to seep into the deeper layers of the skin plus it has an anti-aging effect on the skin.


4. Coffee powder+ Fuller's earth+ Rose water = Glow mask


Ingredients required:

. 1 tablespoon of finely grounded coffee powder or you can use instant coffee.

. 2-3 tablespoons of Fuller's earth.

. 3-4 tablespoons of rose water.


Direction to use:

Mix all the ingredients well till it has a thick, creamy consistency. Apply this paste to your face and neck. Wait till it is dry and then wash off with cold water for that extra glow and hydration

How often to use:

1-2 times a week.

Benefits:

Coffee helps to improve blood circulation thereby making the skin more rejuvenated and glowing.

Fuller's earth softens skin, reduces blemishes, and gently cleanses the skin along with tightening the pores.

Rosewater soothes skin, reduces puffiness, and makes your skin glowing.
